MMDC Cyclocross Practice

Mid-Maryland Coaching’s Mike Birner is hosting cyclocross training rides at Folly Quarter Middle School (13500 Triadelphia Road, Ellicott City, MD 21042) on Sunday, August 29th and September 5th at 8:30 AM.  Just like previous years, the first part of the session on August 29th will be a free clinic open to all abilities.  This will be a walkthrough of the various skills (dismounts, remounts, barriers, shouldering, etc.) We’ll then do a series of practice laps at race intensity to practice your new skills. This clinic is free of charge.

September 5th will consist of a warmup with some skills work and then a series of mock mini-races on the same course as in the past. All abilities (or no ability!) are encouraged to attend. Even if you can’t attend the 29th we’ll make sure you are brought up to speed on the 5th. All riding stays on the school grounds so there’s no worry about getting lost or left out on the road! In years past we’ve had all levels from new juniors to elites.
